The ARAM ring means THE SUN in the language of the natives and is part of the Macuxi collection.
The Macuxi collection consists of geometric shapes reminiscent of arrows and indigenous Tacapi combined with stones that recall the intense colours used in their accessories.
The inspiration comes from the variety of colours and shapes of the instruments of the native Brazilian population, in this case, the Macuxi Indians.
The Macuxi, are people who live in a land called Raposa Serra do Sol, in northern Brazil, on the border with Venezuela and Guyana.
It is a region of spectacular beauty of mountains, rainforests, savannahs, rivers and waterfalls.
Despite having contact with the outside world for more than two centuries, the Indians retained their languages and customs.
Since 2009, the Supreme Court has recognised Raposa Serra do Sol indigenous territory as independent.
Today, the indigenous peoples of Raposa Serra do Sol live in peace on their own land and are developing their own projects in education and health.
