Thais Bernardes: Cipò collection in defence of the Amazon
"I learnt from the Italians to value details and invest in quality. My jewellery follows a contemporary style for women who wish, at the same time, to dictate fashion with elegance and lightness"
This is how he describes his stylistic trait Thais Bernardes, jewellery designer and former model born in Minas Gerais in south-east Brazil, where the wild and unspoilt nature provides the most beautiful and precious gems whose colours have accompanied her since childhood. A passion that in 2015 led her to found the brand that bears her name Thais Bernardes Jewellery with a unique design. Silver, gold and precious and semi-precious stones that she entrusts to Italian craftsmen but guided by Brazilian tradition. Her latest collection is 'Cipó' or liana (from the Tupi language: ysypó), a capsule collection inspired by a typical forest plant considered sacred by the indigenous peoples of the Amazon. There is an ethnic yet delicate elegance to the rings, earrings and bracelets (including a special hand bracelet), all in gold-plated and burnished silver. Beautiful creations and praiseworthy is the purpose to which part of the proceeds from the sale is destined, which will be donated to Survival International, a worldwide movement for the rights of indigenous peoples, active since 1969 in defence of their people and their lands and in self-determination of their future.
The 'Cipó' collection is available at the Thais Bernardes Gioielli corner on the second floor of the Brian & Barry Building Milan, via Whatsapp at 39 380 795 0519 and, from December, online
